This desk definitely suits its purpose. The surface is plenty large enough for a computer, books, and papers, and the shelving is good for storage. However there are some minor drawbacks. The edges on the pieces are very sharp, so you will need some sort of wrist rest. Also, the slide out keyboard drawer doesn't seem to slide very smoothly, although that could be due to my own error in assembly. The assembly is moderately difficult and takes several hours, but it is manageable. Overall I would recommend this desk to somebody looking for a sturdy, attractive workspace who still needs to respect a budget.
